This is the last Intermediate Level lesson. Last but not least.
You already have enough experience to create extreme sight-reading situations. Start playing the notes without prior preparation. Try to see all the elements of music and signs while playing. If there are pauses in your sheet music, try, while maintaining the tempo and counting empty bars in your head, to think about everything that happens to your part ahead. What is it for?
Here’s one example.
If you, for example, plan to work in a show band on a cruise ship, then on your first day on the ship you will receive two or three folders, or even more, with a show program, as well as a large number of sheet music performed by the band, various events and as dance music.
If you will arrive on board the ship at 10-11 am, you should have been playing in the afternoon! At the same time, all the time before the first gig will be occupied with organizational issues. It will be simply unrealistic to see even a small number of sheet music. You will have to play music without preparation. Therefore, it is better to be prepared for such a situation in advance.
Everything happens as the performance progresses, which is actually called sight-reading. So, in this situation, it is necessary not only to play the correct notes, but also not to skip reprises, seniors, volts, etc.

Congratulations, you have completed the Intermediate Level!
