Lesson 21
What to do if there are notes in your sheet of music that do not correspond to the range of your instrument? Or notes that are not comfortable or difficult for you to play?
Very often scores are written by musicians or arrangers who know only one instrument – a pianist, or a trombonist, a trumpeter, etc. They don’t always have the right idea of the range and features of some instruments and you may come across notes that are not specific to your instrument. You can transpose these notes up or down an octave as you play.
